Booking Terms & Conditions
General Behaviour & Health
- All pets must be in good health, up to date on vaccinations, and treated for fleas and worms.
- Proof of up-to-date vaccinations (including kennel cough) is required before any booking is confirmed.
- All dogs must be microchipped, and evidence may be requested.
- I do not accept unneutered male dogs (unless under 12 months) or females in season.
- Dogs must be non-aggressive and settled around other dogs. Aggression, destructive behaviour, excessive barking, or toileting indoors may result in early collection with no refund.
- You agree to hand over your pet in good health. Please disclose all health conditions, behaviours, or special care requirements in advance.
- I may refuse or cancel bookings if a pet is unsuitable for a home environment or causes distress to others in care.
Emergencies
- You give permission for me to seek veterinary care if I feel it’s necessary.
- All veterinary costs must be covered by the owner.
- The emergency contact you provide must be:
- Available during your time away,
- And willing to act on your behalf in an emergency, including collecting your pet if required.
- If I cannot reach you directly, your emergency contact may be asked to make decisions or collect your dog in the rare event of a medical or behavioural issue.
- You agree to cover all veterinary costs and emergency transport if needed.
Payments & Cancellations
- Boarding bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.
- All other services (daycare, walking, drop-ins) must be paid in full before or at the time of service.
- Payments are accepted by bank transfer or cash only.
- No booking is considered confirmed until the deposit or full payment has been received.
- Over 1 week’s notice: 50% refund of the full amount.
- Under 1 week’s notice: non-refundable.
- Trial nights are payable in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
- Drop-off and collection for boarding and daycare are between 07:30 and 18:00.
- Collections after 18:00 will incur an additional €20 late fee.
Meet & Greets & Trial Stays
- All new clients must complete a free 30-minute meet & greet before any booking.
- For home boarding or daycare bookings, your dog must meet George, my resident dachshund, to ensure compatibility.
- For overnight bookings, a trial night (€40) is strongly encouraged.
- Owners must be available to collect their dog during a trial stay if needed.
In-Home Boarding & Daycare
- Only small to medium-sized dogs are accepted for home stays.
- All dogs must arrive with their own food, lead/harness, and any medications.
- Dogs must be comfortable being crated overnight if necessary (crate can be provided).
- My home is crate-free when possible, but crates may be used for naps, feeding, or for safety.
- Dogs stay as part of the family — free-roaming indoors, with access to a secure garden and daily walks nearby.
- Drop-off and collection hours are between 07:30 and 18:00.
- Dogs collected after 18:00 will incur an additional €20 late fee.
- I care for a small number of dogs at any one time to ensure personalised, one-to-one attention.
Dog Walking
- I offer solo walks only, unless it’s two dogs from the same household.
- I do not accept dogs with aggressive behaviour or any history of biting, lunging, or leash reactivity.
- All dogs must be walked on-lead only, using a well-fitted harness or collar (no retractable leads please).
- Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog’s gear is in safe, secure condition.
- If your dog shows signs of distress, reactivity, or illness during a walk, I may shorten or adapt the walk for safety.
- You must inform me of any known behavioural issues before booking, including anxiety, reactivity to dogs, people, or traffic.
- Walks will be cancelled or rescheduled in unsafe conditions (e.g. storms, heatwaves, icy weather).
- Any messes made during walks will be cleaned up responsibly — please provide your preferred poo bags if you wish.
- For safety reasons, I do not allow dogs off-lead under any circumstances.
Keys, Access & Home Security
- Clients must provide safe, secure, and legal access to their home (e.g. via key, lockbox, or code).
- Any access codes or instructions will be kept strictly confidential and used only for scheduled visits.
- It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure all gates, fences, and enclosures are secure and escape-proof.
- I am not liable for pets escaping due to unsecured doors, gates, broken fencing, or uncommunicated hazards.
- If you move or change locks/access methods, please provide updated access before the next booking.
- I reserve the right to refuse visits or walks if I cannot access the property safely and securely.
Photos & Social Media
- Owners must be comfortable with images and videos of their dogs being posted on our social media platforms for updates and promotion.
- If you prefer your pet not to appear on social media, please let me know in writing before your booking
TRIAL NIGHT & BEHAVIOUR
- Trial nights are designed to ensure your dog feels comfortable in a home setting and gets along well with George and any guest dogs.
- During the trial, I assess your dog’s behaviour, anxiety levels, toilet habits, and general suitability for boarding.
- If your dog displays persistent barking/howling, aggression, destructive behaviour, or distress that cannot be safely managed, I may request immediate collection, even during the night.
- In cases of aggression toward another dog or person, collection will be required immediately, and your dog will not be eligible for future boarding or daycare.
- There is no refund for a failed trial night, as the time and care have been provided.
- I will always provide a detailed update explaining the behaviour observed and, if appropriate, suggestions for next steps or alternative care options.
